Whether you’re looking for a custom cake for your party or a deluxe cake “just because” we can come up with the perfect match for what you have in mind.
We have the option of one of a kind decorated sugar cookies and gourmet cookies. All of our cookies come individually sealed to maintain freshness for your big day.
The variety of basic, decorated and deluxe cupcakes provide a great fit for everyone. Cupcake cakes are a great alternative to cutting cakes for your guests.

Smash Cake

Smash cakes are typically a 6" round double layer cake decorated with buttercream.
8" round Cake

Our 8" round cake is our most popular size and will feed around 14-16 people.
Tiered Cake

Both 2 and 3 tiered cakes offer the option of multiple flavors and endless designs.
Sheet Cake
$25-$45
Our sheet cakes come in 2 different sizes. 1/4 sheet will feed around 20 and a 1/2 sheet will feed around 40.
6" 3 Layer Deluxe Cake

Our deluxe cakes offer many different pairings of both cake and buttercream flavors topped with decedent ganache drips and a variety of sweet toppings.

Cupcakes are by the dozen and allow 1 flavor option per dozen.

Basic cupcakes are anything but basic! They allow for a beautifully iced treat to go along with any occasion.
Decorated

Decorated cupcakes offer the option to create something that will match a certain theme or design that you have in mind.
Deluxe

Deluxe cupcakes offer unique flavors by pairing together different flavors of cake and buttercream. Topped with delicious drizzles and sweet treats.

Decorated sugar cookies are by the dozen and offer up to 4 different designs per set. All decorated cookies come individually sealed.
Price is subject to change with the amount of detail involved with the designs.
We offer both hand piped and printed designs! Printed designs are great for business logos, photos, adding a little something extra to a set, and the list goes on.

Our delicious gourmet cookies are great for that midnight snack, classroom parties, or for any reason at all!

QUESTIONS, ANSWERS, AND CONTRACTS
Payment Due
You pay, I’ll bake! A payment of 50% of the total order is required up front so that I can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colors and the perfect packaging. Your payment will reserve your pick-up date too! Unfortunately, the 50% retainer is nonrefundable should you decide to cancel. The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to pickup. If you would choose to pay in full at booking that's ok too!
No show = No sweets!
Your cookies and cakes are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick-up time, forfeits your order. Need to reschedule your pick-up? No problem! Please reach out 2 days prior to your pickup time.
Refunds
I can offer refunds up to 24 hours after the payment has been accepted. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot offer refunds as your order supplies and cutters have likely already been placed. But the good news – you get the sweets!
Delivery Clause
All orders are pick-up only. Delivery can be an option if you live within 20 miles of the pick-up location with an additional fee of $1 per mile, round trip! I love a good drive (bonus if that drive is past a Starbucks!).
Change Cutoff
Decisions are tough! But we’re here to help. Order changes can be made until 2 weeks prior to your date. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply.
Inspiration
Thanks tons for bringing those inspo pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your cookies and cakes may not be perfect replicas – we’ll try to keep it close.
Covid Care
We know that you can’t control when you have come in contact with a person who has Covid, and we want to work with you. Need to reschedule your event? We can freeze your cookies for 2 weeks so you can stay home and rest.
In a hurry?
While I can’t accommodate all last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 14 days will require a rush fee of 50%.
Price Adjustments
All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredients costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting products to my clients. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old flour prices – darn it).
Product Photography
Say Cheese!! We create replicas of client orders to photograph these pretty sweet lookin’ sweets. If you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with me.
Copycats
Copyright images (think Star Wars and Peppa Pig) are protected and I won’t be able to replicate them in baked goods (who wants a cookie controversy, right?). We can make a similar color palette though so let’s talk!
Pictures are worth a thousand words
But they are not always accurate. Colors and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you may end up with. Also, cookies in photos may not be true to size! (which is a bummer, I’d frankly love to eat an 8.5x11 inch cookie!!)
Eenie Meenie Order Minimums
(that didn’t rhyme – I’m a baker not a poet). I require a minimum of 1 dozen cookies!
It’s All Yours Now.
Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your cookies, cakes, and car doors (I hate door dings) is all on you! Keep ‘em safe, keep ‘em cool, and keep ‘em away from the parking lot cart returns.
Ship Shape!
As much as I would love to hand deliver each and every batch, unfortunately, I often need the help of USPS. The Ohio Cottage Food Law only permits me to be able to ship within the state of Ohio. (Now that doesn't mean I can't package them for you and you can drop them at the post office to send off to that special someone ;) I do my best to package these cookies for a rough ride, but broken cookies are a possibility and a non-refundable risk you take when placing a shipped order. Also – while I ship Priority, I can’t guarantee that “rain, sleet, snow or hail” won’t delay your order. Refunds can’t be offered – but know that they’re on their way. Once tracking information is provided, claims for lost orders can be placed with USPS.
No Ghosts
(I’m easily spooked). To get your order juuust right, I’ll need you to reply to my messages within 24 hours – otherwise, I may just have to wing it (I’m good at wingin’ it – just ask my eyeliner). Questions for me? Please give me about 24 hours to reply – I’m usually covered in dough!
Achoo! Allergies?
Baked goods are often made with foods that can be known allergens. While I can do my best to accommodate I can’t always accommodate allergy-conscious orders. Please do reach out – I may have a perfect referral for ya!
Cottage Food Laws
This order has been made in a home kitchen. Our kitchen is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, gluten free. Boring disclaimer, but we have to say it per the law. *tips cowboy hat* *straightens Sheriff pin*
In Sickness and in Health
While death will never do us part, you’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything (including that bottle of wine last night) there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit hopefully far reaching.
Weather Clause
If pickup is impossible due to inclement weather, your cookie order will be heat sealed for a later pickup date. Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered due to weather (darn rain), but we will make sure your order is kept as fresh as possible!
Refunds
While we want you to love our cakes and cookies, if you are not satisfied with your order, please return all uneaten products within 24 hours so we can assess their condition and troubleshoot any problems. We will then determine if a credit may be issued for a future order.
Bulk Order?
Due to the custom work required for each cookie, we are unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to offer you a solution that fits your budget

Once you’ve submitted (awesome) payment for your (awesome) order because you’re awesome, you’re accepting the above terms. Which is awesome because my cakes and cookies are awesome. Awesome!

My name is Melissa Emmons and I am the owner and operator of Crumb Coat LLC:
a home-based bakery in Middle Point, Ohio.
I have always enjoyed being creative with all types of things in life, but it wasn't until about 12 years ago that I found my outlet in cake decorating. I would experiment with different designs and ideas just for fun until friends and family started to show interest in my work. Cookies shortly followed, and I fell in love with the amount of detail such a small treat could provide.
I finally decided to turn my hobby into a business as decorating cakes and cookies are something I've become extremely passionate about. I am a self taught artist who puts a lot of love and attention into every step of my work.
